Sydney Guerrette

A native of Portland, Maine, Sydney’s love for music took root early on in life.  She began playing the piano at the age of four, but her introduction to the world of songwriting occurred almost 10 years later with the gift of her first guitar. Soon after, Sydney began leading worship at local churches and writing music about the people in her life. Her first song, You Will Always Have Me, written and recorded at the age of 14 as a wedding present, was sold as part of a $7000 fundraising effort for Make-A-Wish Maine.

In October 2017, a few weeks after her 16th birthday, Sydney recorded eight of her songs at The Creak Studio in Franklin, Tennessee. She wrote many of these songs for the organization she founded, Be The Change Youth Initiative. Sydney is passionate about encouraging kids to use their gifts and talents to glorify God and to help others around the world. She has used her love for creating music to raise both awareness and financial support for organizations like Hands and Feet Project and Africa New Life, as well as for missionaries working around the world to share the gospel of Jesus Christ.
